San Francisco Woman Killed in Car Accident on Highway 101 in Burlingame
34-Year-Old San Francisco Woman Killed in Burlingame Crash on Highway 101 near Millbrae Avenue

Burlingame, California (January 31, 2021) – A San Francisco woman was killed late Saturday night in a traffic accident in Burlingame, according to a local news source.
The deadly crash, which was reported to the California Highway Patrol officers just after 11:55 p.m. Saturday, January 30, happened on the southbound side of Highway 101, just south of Millbrae Avenue and just before the Broadway exit.
According to the CHP, a Honda was heading southbound on Highway 101 when, for an unknown reason, it swerved to the right and struck an impact attenuator.
The Honda then overturned and landed on its roof. Moments later, the Honda was hit by a Land Rover that was heading southbound in the No. 1 lane of the highway.
The force of the impact caused the Honda driver to thrown out of the car and hit a temporary concrete barrier.
Deadly Car Crash on Highway 101 in Burlingame
The driver of the Honda, only identified as a 34-year-old woman, died at the scene. Her name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the Land Rover sustained minor cuts to a wrist in the crash.
It was not immediately clear whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in the accident.
