At Least 1 Injured in San Francisco Car Accident on Highway 101 at 280 Freeway

San Francisco, California (March 17, 2019) – At least one person was injured Saturday afternoon in a traffic crash in San Francisco, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck occurred at around 1:23 p.m. Saturday, March 16 on Highway 101 near the Interstate 280 Freeway ramp.
According to the CHP, five vehicles were involved in the crash. Some of the vehicles recovered at the scene were a white Fiat 500, a white and red taxi, and a white Toyota Prius.
Major Injury Crash in San Francisco Saturday
Emergency crews responded to the scene and they found the taxi with its airbags deployed. Fire crews had to extricate a woman who was pinned inside the wreckage. The woman suffered major injuries as a result of the crash. Her name and condition were not immediately provided.
According to the authorities, at least one person was taken to the hospital after the crash. The name of the patient and their condition at this time remained unknown.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
