San Francisco, California (April 8, 2019) – A driver was hospitalized after a multi-car collision Sunday evening in the area of San Francisco, according to authorities.

The crash happened at around 6:40 p.m. Sunday, April 7, on southbound Highway 1, just south of 280 Freeway.

As per the CHP officials, a Honda CRV and a blue Toyota Prius crashed for unknown reasons.

An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to the injured parties. The Honda driver was transported to the hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The name of the patient and their current condition was not immediately known.

The Prius sustained moderate rear damage following the crash.

Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.

The vehicles were blocking lanes 3 and 4 following the crash.

No additional information concerning this incident was provided.
