San Francisco, California (April 1, 2019) – One person was hospitalized after a motorcycle accident Sunday night in the area of San Francisco, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash happened at around 7:58 p.m. Sunday, March 31, on southbound Highway 101 at 280 Freeway.

As per the CHP officials, a motorcycle and a vehicle crashed for unknown reasons. The rider was lying in the slow lane after the collision while the motorcycle was on the right-hand shoulder of the roadway.

An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to the injured parties. A party suffered abrasions to the arm and complained of leg pain as a result of the crash.

The victim was transported to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment. The name of the patient and their current condition were not immediately known.

Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.

Authorities blocked lanes 4 and 5 following the crash.
