Major Injuries Reported in San Francisco Bay Crash on Highway 92 and Toll Plaza
San Francisco Bay, California (February 7, 2019) – Major injuries were reported after a multi-vehicle collision Wednesday afternoon in the area of San Francisco Bay, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision happened at around 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, on eastbound Highway 92, just east of Toll Plaza on-ramp.
As per the CHP officials, three vehicles crashed for reasons still under investigation.
An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to the injured parties. The number of victims and their current condition was not immediately known.
Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.
Lanes 1 and 2 were closed following the collision. All lanes were opened as of 3:52 p.m.
No additional information concerning this incident was provided.
An investigation is underway.
