Two Women Killed, One Man Injured in State Route 76 Crash near Vista Way in Bonsall

San Diego County, California (January 22, 2019) –Two women were killed and one man was hospitalized Monday evening following a rear-end crash in unincorporated San Diego County, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The tragic crash took place at about 6:30 p.m. Monday, January 21 on State Route 76, just west of Vista Way.
The CHP said a vehicle occupied by the victims was struck from behind by a Chevrolet pick-up truck on eastbound State Route 76.
The women were pronounced dead at the scene while the man was taken to Palomar Medical Center. The names of the deceased persons have not been disclosed pending identification and notification of next of kin.
The victims were wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident. Excessive speed, alcohol or drugs were not considered factors in the accident
Authorities closed two left lanes on the highway during the investigation.
The crash remains under investigation.
