41-Year-Old Woman Injured in San Diego Pedestrian Crash on Grand Avenue near Mission Bay Drive

San Diego, California (August 4, 2020) – A 41-year-old woman was hit and seriously injured by a vehicle on Tuesday night in San Diego, authorities said.
The major injury pedestrian crash transpired shortly before 10:40 p.m., on August 3, on Grand Avenue west of Mission Bay Drive.
According to the police, the 41-year-old woman was struck by a 2018 Jeep Cherokee SUV, driven by a 24-year-old woman, as she was crossing a Pacific Beach street. The pedestrian stepped off the raised center median and was hit by the Jeep.
The SUV was reportedly driving eastbound in the left lane of Grand Avenue while the woman was attempting to cross the street southbound.

The pedestrian sustained a pelvic fracture and other serious injuries, which were not believed to be life-threatening. She was taken to a hospital for treatment.
