San Diego, California (August 9, 2019) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a DUI car collision that took place early Friday morning in San Diego.

The crash took place at about 3:12 a.m. on westbound 8 Freeway near Highway 163.

As per the report, a red Honda sedan and a gray Toyota SUV collided for unknown reasons. The SUV overturned onto its roof in the crash.

Authorities said minor injuries were sustained in the crash and an ambulance responded to offer medical aid to the victims.

CHP said the crash is DUI related.
