San Diego, California (January 27, 2019) – A man was hospitalized with major injuries after a crash between two vehicles in the Scripps Ranch neighborhood on Friday afternoon.

According to the San Diego police, the incident happened at about 3:40 p.m. January 25 in the 10100 block of Carroll Canyon Road.

Police said a 38-year-old man was driving a Honda Civic from a business parking lot when he crossed all lanes of Carroll Canyon Road and was struck by a Nissan Murano driven by a 34-year-old woman.

The man sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital. The woman complained of pain but was not hospitalized.

Police did not release the identities of the parties involved in the crash.

The collision remains under investigation.
