San Diego, California (October 9, 2019) – A pedestrian was hit and seriously injured by a vehicle on Wednesday morning in City Heights, according to San Diego police.

The crash happened at about 5:20 a.m. near the intersection of Home and Euclid avenues.

Police said a pedestrian was hit by a vehicle near the intersection for unknown reasons.

The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the involved vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.

Both directions of Home Avenue were shut down as the investigators examined the scene.

The police are investigating the incident.
