Man Killed in San Diego Pedestrian Accident on Rosecrans Street
San Diego, California (May 17, 2021) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday night in San Diego, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The deadly pedestrian accident happened at around 10:44 p.m. Tuesday, May 11, in the 1400 block of Rosecrans Street.
Authorities said the pedestrian, a 64-year-old man believed to be homeless, was trying to cross the street inside a crosswalk when a vehicle heading westbound on Rosecrans Street hit him.
Deadly Pedestrian Crash on Rosecrans Street in San Diego
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash stopped at the scene.
The San Diego Police is investigating the accident.
