San Diego, California (July 19, 2019) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a multi-vehicle collision that happened Thursday afternoon in San Diego.

The minor injury crash took place at about 3:50 p.m. on southbound 805 Freeway near Mesa College Drive.

Four vehicles were involved in the accident. One of the vehicles was occupied by children and another by two elderly females. The vehicle occupied by the elderly parties had its airbags deployed.

Paramedics responded to the scene to treat an unknown number of parties who sustained minor injuries.

One of the vehicles spilled cleaning chemicals onto the roadway.

CHP is investigating the cause of the collision.
