32-Year-Old Man Hurt in Kearny Mesa Motorcycle Accident on Kearny Mesa Road near State Route 163
Kearny Mesa, California (January 9, 2019) – A 32-year-old man was injured in a major crash on Tuesday evening in Kearny Mesa, according to the San Diego Police Department.
The crash happened at about 6:40 p.m. January 8 in the 4200 block of Kearny Mesa Road west of State Route 163.
Police said a man was riding a 2006 Suzuki GSX-R600 southbound on Kearny Mesa Road when he collided with the side of a 2000 Toyota 4Runner that made a left turn out of the Hawthorne Center.
The rider suffered serious injuries and was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
The driver of the car remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
An investigation to determine the cause of the crash is ongoing.
