Woman Killed in San Diego Crash on Interstate 15 near Camino del Norte
San Diego, California (November 8, 2020) – A woman was killed Saturday morning in a traffic accident involving a truck in San Diego, according to a local news source.
The deadly crash happened at about 7:40 a.m. Saturday, November 7 on Interstate 15, just south of Camino del Norte.
As per the report, a woman was driving her sedan on Interstate 15 when the wet freeway caused the vehicle to hydroplane and turn toward the No. 4 lane.
The woman reportedly over-corrected and the sedan spun across the freeway, where it was struck on the driver’s side by a truck that was heading southbound on Interstate 15.
Authorities said the crash triggered the chain-reaction collision which involved other vehicles. The sedan came to rest on the center median, following the collision.
The driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name was withheld pending notification of family.
No other injuries were reported.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
