2 Sustains Minor Injuries in San Diego Plane Crash on Kearny Villa Road near Montgomery Field
San Diego, California (December 13, 2020) – Two people were injured when a small plane crashed Sunday afternoon in San Diego, according to a local news source.
The accident occurred at around 12:50 p.m. in the 4200 block of Kearny Villa Road near Montgomery Field, police said.
According to the police, a single-engine Cessna plane had just taken off from the runway and was headed westbound when it experienced a power failure and made an emergency landing on Kearny Villa Road.
The plane reportedly crashed through the fencing onto Kearny Villa Road.
Two people on board, the pilot and co-pilot, sustained minor injuries and were evaluated at the scene. Their names were not immediately disclosed.
The accident remains under investigation.
