1 Killed in San Diego Multi-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 5 Freeway at 10th Street
San Diego, California (December 4, 2019) – One person was killed and others hurt in a traffic collision involving multiple vehicles on Wednesday morning in San Diego, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The multi-vehicle collision happened at about 11:13 a.m. December 4 on the southbound Interstate 5 Freeway, just north of 10th Street in the Balboa Park area.
The accident began when a silver Honda CRV crashed hydroplaned into the center divider and then went across all traffic lanes where it set off a chain-reaction crash.
The initial report indicated that a Ford Escape and a Scion, as well as three other vehicles, also collided.

One person was confirmed dead at the scene as a result of the accident. Paramedics attended to other victims who were injured in the crash.
Meanwhile, the exact number of injured victims has not yet been disclosed.
Police closed multiple lanes of the highway for an unknown time.
The CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
