San Diego, California (June 1, 2019) – At least one person was hurt in a traffic collision that involved two vehicles in San Diego Friday night.

The collision was reported just after 8:30 p.m. May 31 on westbound North Harbor Drive near the airport.

The San Diego Harbor Police Department indicated that two vehicles crashed on the roadway for reasons still under an active investigation. Due to the impact of the collision, one of the cars involved slammed into a nearby valve.

One person was hurt following the crash. The victim was attended to by the paramedics who responded at the site shortly after the collision. It was not clear whether or not the victim was transported to the hospital after the accident. The name and the current condition of the injured party have not yet been disclosed to this time.

The collision resulted in the closure of one of the lanes in westbound North Harbor Drive while police were conducting the accident.

The crash remains underway an active investigation.
