70-Year-Old Man Killed in San Bruno Pedestrian Accident on El Camino Real near Santa Lucia Avenue
San Bruno, California (January 11, 2019) – A man riding a wheelchair was struck and killed by a vehicle while trying to cross a San Bruno street on Wednesday morning, according to the police.
The crash happened at about 6 a.m. January 9 on El Camino Real near Santa Lucia Avenue.
Police said the 70-year-old man was crossing El Camino Real when a van traveling southbound struck him.
The victim was rushed to a hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The driver of the van reportedly remained at the scene.
No details were provided on the identities of the parties involved in the accident.
The San Bruno Police Department is investigating the crash.
