Sacramento County, CA: 1 Hospitalized After Head-On Collision at Zinfandel Drive and Douglas Road
1 Sustains Serious Injuries in Mather Crash near Zinfandel Drive and Douglas Road

Sacramento County, California (March 12, 2021) – One person was hospitalized with serious injuries after being involved in a two-vehicle collision Wednesday afternoon near an intersection in Mather, Sacramento County.
A red van collided head-on with a dark-colored sedan near the intersection of Zinfandel Drive and Douglas Road at approximately 5:40 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol did not immediately establish how the collision occurred near Mather Regional Park.
Due to the impact, the van was partially down an embankment and the highway.
Mather Car Crash Sends 1 to Hospital
One person, whose identity was not immediately revealed, was hospitalized with serious injuries following the wreck.
Officials shut down both directions of Zinfandel and Douglas as they investigated the crash.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
