Sacramento, California (February 26, 2021) – Authorities are investigating after a minor injury accident happened Thursday afternoon on Interstate 80 in Sacramento.

Sacramento firefighters responded to the westbound lanes of the freeway between Northgate Boulevard and Norwood Avenue after receiving reports of the accident at about 2:08 p.m.

At the scene, the firefighters found a dump truck and another unknown vehicle involved in the crash.

The firefighters said an unknown number of parties suffered minor injuries. An ambulance was dispatched to the scene to help the victims.

The incident left the HOV and No. 1 lanes closed for an unknown period.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of the collision.
