Sacramento, California (June 11, 2019) – Minor injuries were sustained after a multi-car collision Tuesday morning in the area of Sacramento, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident happened at around 7:02 a.m. Tuesday, June 10, on 80 Freeway and Madison Avenue on-ramp.

As per the CHP officials, at least six vehicles crashed for reasons still under investigation. One of the vehicles burst into flames following the crash.

An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to the crash victims. The number of patients and their current condition was not immediately known.

A SigAlert was issued blocking the lanes following the collision. The roadway was cleared as of 7:57 a.m.

Tow trucks were requested to remove the cars from the crash site.

No other details regarding this crash were provided.

An investigation is underway.
