Pedestrian Killed in Sacramento Crash on Franklin Boulevard near Turnbridge Drive
Sacramento, California (March 25, 2021) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on Thursday morning in south Sacramento, authorities said.
The deadly hit-and-run pedestrian accident occurred at about 2:00 a.m. on Franklin Boulevard, near Turnbridge Drive.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian, who appeared to be homeless, was struck by a vehicle along the roadway in unclear circumstances.
Pedestrian Killed in Crash on Franklin Boulevard
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The involved driver fled the scene and was later arrested on suspicion of DUI. The suspect’s vehicle was parked on the side of Highway 99 near the Highway 50 connector.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
