4 Injured in Sacramento Car Accident on U.S. 50 near Harbor Boulevard
Sacramento, California (August 12, 2019) – Four people were injured Monday morning in a multi-vehicle collision in West Sacramento, according to a local news source.
The accident happened just after 8:35 a.m. on U.S. 50 near Harbor Boulevard and involved four vehicles.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a Ford was traveling in the far left lane when it collided with a silver Toyota stopped in front of it due to traffic.
The CHP said the Ford driver was unable to stop before hitting the silver Toyota for undetermined reasons. The force of the impact caused the silver Toyota to collided with a black Toyota and a Hyundai.
Major-Injury Accident in West Sacramento, August 12
The driver of the silver Toyota suffered major injuries and was transported to UC Davis Medical Center.
A passenger in the Hyundai, the drivers of the Ford and black Toyota had minor injuries. The condition of the Hyuandi’s driver was not immediately disclosed.
Neither alcohol nor drugs were suspected factors in the crash.
As of 10:15 a.m. all lanes were reopened.
An investigation to determine the cause of the accident is underway.
