Sacramento, CA: Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 50
4 Injured in Sacramento Crash on Highway 50 near Interstate 5 Off-Ramp
Sacramento, California (May 26, 2021) – Four people were hospitalized following a Tuesday evening traffic collision involving a motorcycle in Sacramento, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported at around 5: 40 p.m. Tuesday, May 25, on Highway 50 near the Interstate 5 exit.
CHP said a motorcyclist and three cars collided on the eastbound side of the highway. Details on what led up to the collision at this time are unknown.
A total of four people were injured in the crash. One patient was taken to the Mercy General Hospital and another was transported to the Sutter General Hospital.
The other two victims were transported to the Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento Medical Center. The names and conditions of the patients were not immediately disclosed.
The eastbound lanes of Highway 50 near the Interstate 5 were closed as the investigation took place.
The crash remains under investigation.
