Girl Seriously Injured in Sacramento Pedestrian Crash on Valley Hi Drive
Sacramento, California (October 17, 2019) – A 12-year-old girl was hospitalized with major injuries after an auto-pedestrian collision Wednesday evening in Sacramento, according to a local news source.
The collision happened shortly after 6:50 p.m. Wednesday, October 16, in the 5200 block of Valley Hi Drive, in front of Prairie Elementary School.
As per the dispatch, a 12-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle for unknown reasons.

Responding emergency crews transported the girl to the hospital for treatment and was reportedly in critical condition. The name of the victim was not immediately released.
The driver of the involved vehicle reportedly stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
Police said DUI was not suspected to be a factor in the crash.
An investigation to determine the cause of the crash is ongoing.
