Sacramento, California (May 9, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a two-car crash that left at least one person seriously injured on Friday afternoon in Sacramento.

The crash happened at about 2:26 p.m., on May 8, in the area of Power Inn Road and Elsie Avenue.

A black SUV, for unknown reasons, collided with a white SUV at the intersection of Power Inn Road and Elsie Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The two cars sustained significant front-end damage due to the accident, said the police.

At least one patient was hospitalized with major injuries following the mishap.

More details about the crash were not immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
