62-Year-Old Man Killed in Sacramento Moped Crash on 66th Avenue

Sacramento, California (March 12, 2020) – A man riding a moped was struck and killed by a vehicle on Tuesday evening in Sacramento, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened at about 7:20 p.m. March 10, on 66th Avenue.
According to the report, a man was riding a 2008 Lancer Moped when he pulled out from a private drive and was hit by a 2005 Acura MDX traveling east on 66th Avenue.
Rider Killed in Sacramento Moped Crash
The moped rider was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. He was only identified as a 62-year-old Sacramento man.
The driver of the Acura, a 19-year-old Sacramento man, was uninjured and stayed at the scene.
Alcohol and drugs were not suspected to be factors in the accident.
The CHP is conducting an investigation into the crash.
