62-Year-Old Man Killed in Arden Arcade Pedestrian Accident on Watt Avenue near Arden Way

Sacramento, California (February 8, 2019) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a pickup truck Thursday evening in Arden Arcade, according to police.
The deadly accident occurred at around 7:22 p.m. Thursday, February 7 on Watt Avenue near Arden Way.
Police said the pedestrian, a 62-year-old man, was walking eastbound across lanes of Watt Avenue traffic when for an unknown reason he was hit by silver Toyota Tundra.
First responders arrived at the scene and they found the man lying on the far left lane of northbound Watt Avenue. He was declared dead at the scene.
The name of the deceased victim has not been released pending identification and notification of family.
A 64-year-old Sacramento man, who was the driver of the Toyota, stopped at the scene and complied with authorities. He was unhurt in the crash.
Drugs and alcohol were not considered factors in the accident.
