Sacramento, California (January 13, 2019) – According to the California Highway Patrol, one person was injured in a car accident in South Sacramento on Saturday night.

The collision occurred at about 10:35 p.m. January 12, on the northbound lanes of Highway 99 near Florin Road.

As per the CHP incident log, a black SUV and a second car were involved in the collision. Although the manner in which the accident occurred was not immediately established, one of the cars is reported to have overturned after the collision.

A female occupant of one of the cars was injured in the accident and was transported to UC Davis for treatment of unspecified injuries.

No other information was provided.

The authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
