Possible Injuries after Highway 50 Crash near Sunrise Boulevard
Sacramento, California (April 12, 2019) – Authorities are investigating a traffic accident that occurred Friday afternoon in Sacramento, according to a local news report.
The crash happened at about 2:47 p.m. on Highway 50 near Sunrise Boulevard and involved two vehicles.
According to CHP incident information logs, a Mazda collided with a brown BMW for reasons still under investigation. As a result of the collision, the BMW came to a stop in a northbound lane of Sunrise Boulevard at Highway 50 while the Mazda came to rest in two lanes of the highway and blocked the flow of traffic.

It was immediately unclear if there were injuries in the crash.
One lane of northbound Sunrise Boulevard and two lanes of Highway 50 were closed for around an hour. As of 3:37 p.m. all lanes were reopened.
Further details were not immediately provided, and the crash remains under investigation.
