1 Seriously Hurt in Sacramento Car Collision on Northbound Highway 51

Sacramento, California (July 29, 2020) – One person was hospitalized with serious injuries after being involved in a traffic collision early Tuesday morning in Sacramento, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The major injury crash happened at about 1:08 a.m. on Highway 51 at the Marconi Avenue off-ramp.
Officials said two vehicles of unspecified make and built collided along the highway in the morning hours.
One of the involved motorists was driving carelessly at the time of the mishap, a witness reported.
Due to the impact, both automobiles acquired major damage, and one of them possibly struck the street lights.

One person was confirmed to have sustained major injuries following the wreck.
The unidentified patient was rushed to an area hospital by medical personnel for further treatment.
The roadway was closed down around an hour and a half as investigation and clean-up took place.
The CHP is still investigating to determine the cause of the accident.
