1 Injured in Sacramento Car Accident on Business 80 Near Exposition Boulevard
Sacramento, California (May 2, 2019) – One person was transported to the hospital after being involved in a traffic collision in Sacramento last week Thursday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The multi-vehicle accident, which was reported at approximately 6:20 a.m. April 25, occurred along the Business 80, also known as Capital City Freeway.
According to the Sacramento Fire Department, the accident involved multiple vehicles which collided in the westbound lanes of Business 80 for unknown reasons. Due to the impact of the collision, one of the involved cars rolled onto its side on the roadway.
One person was reported to have trapped inside the overturned car. The victim was extracted from the wreckage by the paramedics along with the firefighters who arrived at the scene shortly after the crash. The patient sustained unspecified injuries and was rushed to the hospital for medication. The condition and identity of the injured party have not yet been released to this time.
The right two lanes of southbound traffic were closed down following the accident.
The authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
