Sacramento, CA: 1 Hospitalized after Suspected DUI Crash on Highway 50

Sacramento, California (May 30, 2021) – One person was sent to the hospital after a Saturday night car collision that happened in Sacramento, the California Highway Patrol said.

According to CHP, the wreck occurred at about 9:16 p.m. on westbound Highway 50 at the Stockton Boulevard off-ramp.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision.

A party reporting the accident said one of the drivers appeared to have been drinking. The reporting party said there was alcohol in that driver’s vehicle, and the motorist was smelling alcohol.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and transported the suspect DUI driver to the hospital with unspecified injuries.

It remained unclear if the occupants of the other car were injured.

CHP is investigating to establish the cause of the collision.
