1 Seriously Hurt in Sacramento Crash on 5 Freeway at J Street Off-Ramp
Sacramento, California (March 23, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a serious injury crash that happened Tuesday afternoon in Sacramento, sending one person to the hospital.
According to a California Highway Patrol report, two vehicles collided at around 2:46 p.m. on southbound 5 Freeway at the J Street off-ramp.
The collision involved a big rig and a sedan. The vehicles were blocking No. 2 lane after the crash.
A female driver was trapped inside her vehicle in the crash.
Firefighters responded to the scene and transported one person to UC Davis Medical Center. The patient sustained a broken arm.
The Nos. 2 and 3 lanes remained blocked as firefighters worked the scene.
CHP is investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
