27-Year-Old Sabrina Yarnell Killed in Modesto Car Accident on Yosemite Boulevard
Modesto, California (May 2, 2019) – A female driver who was killed in a traffic accident in Modesto Tuesday morning has been identified as 27-year-old Sabrina Yarnell.
The accident, which was reported at around 6:50 a.m. April 30, occurred on Yosemite Boulevard.
The crash happened when an eastbound Acura broadsided a vehicle driven by Yarnell travelling on eastbound lanes at the 2400 block of Yosemite. At the same time, a silver Chevrolet S-10 pickup was reportedly driving westbound before the collision.
According to the Modesto officials report, both Yarnell and her passenger were trapped inside the pickup truck following the wreck. The two victims were extracted from the wreckage by the fire department personnel. Yarnell was sadly pronounced dead at the scene despite life-saving measures. The male party passenger suffered significant injuries as a result of the accident. He was immediately transported to the hospital for treatment and evaluation. He was listed to be under critical condition.
The driver of Acura identified as a 44-year-old woman was not hurt in the accident. She declined medication and to be taken to the hospital.
Meanwhile, the detectives handling the case are gathering more evidence and information to identify the leading cause of the accident.
