Ryan Walker ID’d as Man Killed in Oildale Dirt Bike Accident on Olive Drive and Roberts Lane
Oildale, California (February 18, 2021) – The man who died after his dirt bike collided with an SUV Tuesday night in Oildale has been identified as Ryan Keith Walker, 30, of Bakersfield, according to Kern County Sheriff’s Office.
The deadly accident was reported at about 8:27 p.m. Tuesday, February 16, on Olive Drive and Roberts Lane, the California Highway Patrol said.
Walker was riding a Honda dirt bike westbound on Olive Drive when, for unknown reasons, the dirt bike t-boned a Chevrolet SUV that was attempting to make a left turn onto eastbound Olive Drive, according to the CHP.
Walker was ejected from the bike upon the impact. He was transported to Kern Medical, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The SUV driver was unhurt in the accident. The CHP said the dirt bike had no lights or reflectors at the time of the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
