Roseville, California (March 20, 2021) – A man was killed Saturday morning in a single-vehicle traffic accident in Roseville, according to a local news source.

The deadly crash occurred shortly after 7:00 a.m. on the westbound side of Interstate 80 near Atlantic Street, the California Highway Patrol reported.

According to the CHP, a 38-year-old man was driving a Toyota Corolla westbound on Interstate 80 when, for unknown reasons, he allowed the vehicle to drift into the center median and crashed into a concrete barrier.

Deadly Car Accident on I-80 in Roseville

Emergency crews responded to the scene and pulled the driver out of the wrecked vehicle. The man was then transported to  Sutter Roseville Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries. His name was withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Authorities said neither alcohol nor drugs played a role in the collision.
