Roseville, California (August 25, 2020) – Two persons were killed in a rollover crash on Monday night in Roseville, authorities said.

The deadly accident happened at about 10:30 p.m., on August 24, on Highway 65 near Stanford Ranch Road and Galleria Boulevard

According to the CHP, an SUV was traveling northbound on the highway when, for unknown reasons, it swerved to the left and went into the center divider near the Stanford Ranch Road and Galleria Boulevard exit.

The vehicle reportedly overturned and landed on its roof.

Sadly, the male driver and a female passenger in the front seat were pronounced dead at the scene. They were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.

A 12-year-old girl who was in the back seat sustained moderate injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. She was wearing a seatbelt at the time.

A dog in the car was ejected and killed in the crash, the officials said.

It was not clear if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
