Man Killed in Roseville Pedestrian Crash on I-80 near Douglas Boulevard

Roseville, California (October 4, 2019) – A man was fatally hit by vehicles early Thursday morning in Roseville, according to the CHP.
The wreck happened at about 12:45 a.m. October 3, on I-80 near Douglas Boulevard.
CHP said a man was walking southbound in the westbound lanes of I-80 when he was hit by a Toyota Camry.
The impact threw the victim onto the No. 2 lane and he was hit by a Ford F-150 truck that had been traveling behind the Camry and swerved to avoid the stopped vehicle.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The drivers of the two vehicles remained at the scene.
CHP said alcohol and drugs were unlikely factors in the crash.
The incident is under investigation.
Many pedestrians are hurt and several others killed in accidents in California every year. The causes of many of these pedestrian accidents include distracted driving, speeding, drunk driving, reckless driving, bad weather, wrong-way driving and failure to observe traffic laws. It is evident that negligence on the part of motorists is the leading cause of these accidents.
