Rosario Montalvo ID’d as Fresno Woman Killed in Minkler Car Crash on Highway 180 near North Rio Vista Avenue

Fresno, California (July 30, 2019) – The woman who was killed in a suspected DUI collision that left four other people injured in Minkler, Fresno, on Monday afternoon has been identified as Rosario Montalvo, 47, of Fresno, according to a local news source.
The accident happened at about 12:40 p.m. July 29, on Highway 180 near North Rio Vista Avenue.
As per the report, a 2004 Chevrolet Blazer SUV was traveling westbound on Highway 180 when the driver drifted into the eastbound side and collided with an oncoming 2011 Ford Explorer.
Rosario Montalvo Identified as Woman Killed in Minkler DUI Crash
Montalvo, who was the front seat passenger in the Explorer, was killed in the crash.
The driver of the Explorer was transported to Community Regional Medical Center, with major injuries. Two other passengers in the vehicle were transported to the hospital with major injuries.
The driver of the Chevrolet, who had moderate injuries, was also taken to CRMC. He was later arrested on DUI charges.
The crash is under investigation.
