Rosamond, California (January 8, 2019) – An investigation is underway to determine the cause of a fatal pedestrian accident that happened Monday evening in Rosamond, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Officers said the accident took place at about 6:15 p.m. on the southbound lanes of Highway 14, just north of Rosamond Boulevard.

The report said a pedestrian was struck by a Nissan Armada for unknown reasons.

The victim sustained fatal injuries and died in the crash. The identity of the deceased will be released when their next of kin is notified.

The car was towed away for evidence.
