Woman Killed in Rohnert Park Train Crash near Golf Course Drive and Roberts Lake Road
Rohnert Park, California (June 27, 2019) – A woman was fatally hit by a train on Thursday morning in Rohnert Park, according to the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety.
The crash took place near Golf Course Drive and Roberts Lake Road just before 7:50 a.m.
Authorities said a woman ignored the crossing arms and attempted to cross the tracks. In the process, the woman was struck by the Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit train.
Woman Dies in Rohnert Park Train Crash
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. She was only identified as a woman in her 40s.
No one on the train was injured in the collision.
The authorities are conducting an investigation into the incident.
