Rohnert Park, California (October 21, 2020) – According to authorities’ report, traffic collisions that took place in Rohnert Park, Monday night, injured three people.

Officials responded to the crash site at about 8:30 p.m., October 19, on Highway 101 near Rohnert Park Expressway off-ramp.

As per the report, the first collision happened when a red Mercedes sedan made an unsafe lane change and crashed with a Chevy Cruze on the highway’s northbound side. 

Due to the impact, the wreck caused a chain-reaction involving two other vehicles while the Chevy crashed into a tree.

Two unidentified victims were hospitalized with minor injuries after the wreck.

Meanwhile, police said three other automobiles crashed on the roadway. The initial report indicated that a BMW rear-ended a Lexus SUV that was then pushed into the back of a GMC Sierra truck upon the impact.

An occupant riding in the GMC survived with minor injuries and was rushed to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for medication.

The operator of the Mercedes did not stop after the mishap and fled the scene.

Officials later found a red Mercedes abandoned in the parking lot of a 24 Hour Fitness.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
