Santa Rosa, California (May 14, 2021) – The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man who died after being hit by a SMART train Tuesday evening in Santa Rosa as Rodrigo Banuelos Jaimes, 53, of Santa Rosa.
The deadly crash happened shortly before 5:00 p.m. May 11, near West Robles Avenue.
Authorities said the train struck Jaimes on the tracks. Details on what led up to the accident were not immediately available.
