San Francisco, California (November 17, 2020) – The San Francisco Medical Examiner’s Office has identified the motorcyclist who died in a traffic collision Monday afternoon in San Francisco as Robert Peng, 58, of Alamo.

The deadly accident transpired at about 1:40 p.m. Monday, November 16 on the Bay Bridge, just west of Treasure Island.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Peng was riding his motorcycle on the Bay Bridge when, for unknown reasons, he lost control of the bike and crashed.

Peng was declared dead at around 2:02 p.m.

Traffic on the roadway was stopped for about an hour due to the accident.

An investigation into the collision is underway.
