Minor Injuries Sustained in Riverside Car Crash on 215 Freeway near Columbia Avenue Off-Ramp
Riverside, California (October 12, 2020) – Authorities are investigating three traffic collisions that happened Sunday night on 215 Freeway in Riverside, one of them resulting in minor injuries.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the collisions took place at about 11:55 p.m. in the northbound lanes at the Columbia Avenue off-ramp.
A party reporting the incident told authorities that a male party was hitting a female party and pushing her around in traffic lanes. The reporting party said she almost crashed into them and a vehicle that was also in the lanes.
Another reporting party told authorities that the incident happened when a solo car crashed and multiple other vehicles collided with it.
Firefighters and police officers responded to the scene and did an initial investigation which revealed that there were three separate collisions. One of them involved a solo car with property damage, the second involved two vehicles with property damage, and the third involved two vehicles and resulted in minor injuries.
An ambulance was sent to the scene to help the victims.
Firefighters closed the entire off-ramp as they worked the scene.
