Riverdale Accident at Highway 41 and Mt. Whitney Avenue Kills Salvador Llamas
52-Year-Old Salvador Llamas Killed in Riverdale Car Crash at Highway 41 and Mt. Whitney Avenue

Riverdale, California (December 20, 2020) – 52-year-old Salvador Llamas, of Riverdale, has been identified as one of the two victims who died following a traffic collision in Riverdale Friday evening.
The fatal multi-vehicle crash took place in the area of Highway 41 and Mount Whitney Avenue at around 5:10 p.m. December 18.
The mishap happened when a BMW driven by a male party, north on Highway 41 approaching the intersection with Mt. Whitney Avenue, failed to see a Chevrolet Aveo and a Ford F-350 pickup that had stopped at a red light ahead of him.
The BMW then rear-ended the Chevrolet that was driven by Salvador Llamas. Due to the impact, the Aveo was forced into the back of the truck and the three automobiles acquired major damage.
Salvador Llamas Fatal Riverdale Crash
A 57-year-old passenger riding in Llamas car died in the mishap while Llamas, his husband, died at CRMC while undergoing treatment.
The wreck resulted in the closure of both lanes of the freeway for at least an hour.
A 33-year-old Fresno man operating the Ford sustained minor to moderate injuries in the wreck.
The deadly crash remains under an active investigation.
