Richmond, CA: Pedestrian Hospitalized with Severe Injuries after Traffic Crash on 580 Freeway
1 Severely Injured in Richmond Pedestrian Crash on 580 Freeway at Harbor Way S Off-Ramp

Richmond, California (December 19, 2020) – A pedestrian was hospitalized with severe injuries after being hit by a vehicle Saturday morning in Richmond.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 9:42 a.m. on westbound 580 Freeway at the Harbor Way S off-ramp.
Richmond Police Department, Contra Costa County firefighters, and paramedics responded to the scene.
The victim sustained trauma to the head and abdomen and was transported to John Muir Walnut Creek Medical Center by Contra Costa firefighters.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
