At Least 1 Severely Injured in Richmond Motorcycle Accident on 80 Freeway near Central Avenue
Richmond, California (May 22, 2019) – At least one person was seriously hurt after a traffic crash Wednesday afternoon in the area of Richmond, according to authorities.
The collision happened at around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, on eastbound 80 Freeway, just west of Central Avenue.
As per the CHP officials, two vehicles crashed for reasons still under investigation.
Major Motorcycle Accident on 80 Freeway in Richmond
An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to at least one person who suffered a broken leg. The victim’s name and their current condition were not immediately known.
Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.
Authorities closed lane 1 following the crash. The roadway was opened as of 4:28 p.m.
No additional details concerning this crash were provided.
An investigation is ongoing.
