Richardpeter Holguin, 57, Killed in Motorcycle Crash at Bolsa and Shore Roads in Hollister

Hollister, California (June 29, 2019) – 57-year-old Richardpeter Holguin has been identified as the Motorcyclist killed in a traffic collision that involved a pickup on Wednesday morning.

The fatal crash was reported at approximately 5:35 a.m. June 26, along Bolsa Road, also known as Highway 25, about halfway between Hollister and Gilroy.

The accident happened when Holguin who was riding a Honda CBR600 north on Bolsa Road collided with a Ford F-150 pickup which was making a left turn from southbound Bolsa onto Shore at the time. The initial report showed that Holguin pulled into the right-turn lane to pass traffic which was stopped in the through lane before he continued straight through the intersection at the time of the collision. Due to the impact, Holguin was ejected from his bike.

Holguin was pronounced dead at the scene by the paramedics following the wreck.

The motorist of the involved pickup who was identified as a 35-year-old Watsonville man was not injured in the accident.

The crash remains under an active investigation.
